SUMMARY
The Systems Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency. This role is critical in supporting daily operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance system performance.
Key responsibilities include safeguarding critical systems and assets, deploying and integrating new technologies, improving IT operations through automation and best practices, and providing technical guidance to internal teams. Additionally, this role contributes to the overall IT strategy by identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES
- Consistently demonstrates Aspirion’s mission, vision, and values
- Maintains and designs solutions for essential IT enterprise systems, including but not limited to operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, mobile and desktop devices (Azure and AWS).
- Maintains internal networking systems, such as routers, switches, firewalls, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Develop scripts and automate processes using PowerShell and other tools
- Monitors network performance and implements necessary changes to improve speed and reliability.
- Takes responsibility for projects and creating enterprise solutions within the larger business initiative.
- Handles business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace
- Enables faster and smarter business processes and develops analytics for meaningful insights.
- Coordinates projects across both internal and external partners
- Provides advanced troubleshooting to identify root cause for IT issues and provide technical support when needed. Mentors less experienced team members.
- Ensures system backups and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
- Implements and manages security measures to protect data, software, and hardware while monitoring security alerts and responds to incidents promptly.
- Plans and executes system upgrades, patches, and installations of new hardware and software.
- Evaluates and recommends new technologies and tools to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generates regular reports on system performance, security, and usage metrics.
- Works closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems.
- Communicates effectively with non-technical staff and management to explain complex technical issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of system administration experience is required.
- Experience in cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure and/or AWS) is required.
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, performance-monitoring tools, virtualization, TLS traffic, content delivery, and caching is required.
- Experience with PowerShell preferred or knowledge of programming or scripting languages and concepts is required.
- Experience working in revenue cycle management environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security technologies both cloud and physical is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure, Network+, Security+ is preferred.
- ITIL v4 or equivalent required. Candidate can take up to six months after employment to obtain certification.
- Some light travel may be required.

The US base pay range for this position starts at $110,000 annually. The US base pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates could be eligible to receive a bonus tied to achieved results.
