Director, Procurement Operations

SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join our team as a Director of Procurement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-impact environments, is an aggressive negotiator, and has a proven track record of identifying savings opportunities, consolidating vendor spend and running efficient procurement processes.
This person will play a critical role in reducing operational costs, optimizing vendor relationships and ensuring procurement practices align with company objectives. This role may also support light facilities oversight and help ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.
DUTTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle — selection, negotiation, contracting, performance management and renewals.
- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across all departments.
- Drive cost reduction by consolidating vendor spend, renegotiating contracts and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Run RFPs and RFIs for software, services and other critical business functions.
- Maintain a master vendor database tracking performance, spend, risk, key contractual terms, and where applicable, license utilization.
- Partner with IT Security to make sure the vendors maintain security protocols that meet or exceed Aspirion’s thresholds.
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure procurement processes are compliant and cost-effective.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, Marketing, and Operations to meet their vendor needs while reducing redundancies.
- Provide oversight of rental agreements, facility needs and office-related vendor management.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to procurement and vendor processes.
COMPETENCIES
- Proven track record as a skilled negotiator — you enjoy the process and know how to get results.
- Strong experience with cost optimization, contract consolidation and vendor rationalization.
- Experience managing RFPs and vendor selection processes.
- Technical procurement experience is particularly helpful, including: AWS cost management, software procurement and license management, hardware procurement, working with managed service providers
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, operate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with facilities or workplace operations a plus (but not required).
- Comfortable in a lean environment where you can roll up your sleeves and take ownership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimal 5 years of directly-applicable work experience in procurement, vendor management, sourcing, or business operations is required.
- Experience leading a Procurement org or building a department from scratch is preferred.

The position salary range starts at $150,000. The US base pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered.
