Introductory Summary
Aspirion is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to bridge the gap between our technical and business teams by creating clear, concise, and user-friendly release notes, documentation, and training materials. This role will work cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Security & Compliance, Product, Operations, and other business stakeholders to translate complex technical updates into accessible content that supports decision-making, communication, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to gather information on system changes, new features, and technical updates.
- Draft, edit, and publish business-facing release notes, ensuring clarity and accuracy for non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve internal documentation, wikis, and user guides that support product launches, system usage, and operations.
- Translate technical terminology and engineering specifications into clear, actionable content for business and end-user consumption.
- Create visual aids, diagrams, and structured documentation to support training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Conduct interviews or shadow sessions with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to stay current on project updates.
- Manage document version control and ensure content is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with Aspirion’s internal standards.
- Support training initiatives by producing or contributing to instructional materials, presentations, and help documentation.
- Promote consistent language, structure, and tone across all published materials.
- Advocate for the end-user by ensuring documentation is intuitive, informative, and aligned with user needs.
- Utilize tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Git, and Markdown-based editors to create and maintain content.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical writing or documentation role within a technology-driven company.
- Proven experience working closely with technical teams and translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with software development processes, product release cycles, and cloud-based tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously.
- Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Wiki, Confluence).
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, or HITRUST.
- Experience supporting Saas, healthcare technology, data, or engineering teams; or initiatives that include AI/ML capabilities or automation tooling preferred.
The US base pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a bonus tied to achieved results.
